Ioana & George: The Romanian Ceremony

My favorite Romanian dancers are back to grace our screens! I first met Ioana and George at their elopement in Nazareth, PA, where it was just the three of us capturing the moment for a short hour. This time the happy couple came together in a gorgeous Romanian church in New Jersey surrounded by family and friends, arrayed in their stunning traditional clothes. I felt so honored once again to be photographing these memories for them. After the ceremony we frolicked through the nearby fields for portraits to show off those amazing outfits, and their effortless love. My heartfelt congratulations again Ioana and George, I hope you never stop celebrating!

Poetry in the Pines

I feel like I just returned from a dream or a past life. Genevieve and Lev’s wedding at Lacawac Sanctuary was such a breath of fresh air (literally) and everything about the event reminded me to circle back and appreciate the true important things in life.

I first met Genevieve ages ago in a similar camp-like setting when I was with one of my very best friends (her cousin!). All of these years later she reached out for her wedding photography and I was so excited to be chosen!

Nestled in the tall trees, near a gorgeous lodge by the lake, Genevieve and Lev spoke to one another of their meeting, love, and promises. Beloved family members and friends recited poetry, shared anecdotes, remembered dear relatives, and toasted the happy couple. I do not think there could have been a dry eye in the place, and I struggled to compose my shots at times as I was wiping mine!

Kids blew bubbles in the waning light, dogs frolicked around our legs. We took advantage of the sunset, and returned for drinks and incredible food. The dancing began and there was an abundance of cake. The evening did not end when I left, but the music went out on a high note with a limbo and laughter.

The most serendipitous convergence of paths brought us all to this time and place where we could celebrate these two happy people, and I’m thankful to have been a part of this day.

Lehigh ’22 Part VI

This young woman is, I believe, a 4th generation Lehigh Grad! Her proud parents joined us for a reminiscent stroll around the grounds, stopping at all the best spots for her portraits. I love it when parents/family are involved because you can just feel the pride and joy about this momentous occasion, and one of the best parts about my job is getting to join folks for the happiest moments in their lives. Big congrats for carrying on this legacy!

Lehigh ’22 Part V

For my last and final Lehigh graduation session, this gorgeous family ran all around campus with me under the impending threat of storm! This session and the session prior featured women who were carrying on the legacy from their fathers of graduating from Lehigh U, which was really cool, and make each location even more special and memorable. I loved this session, and I really truly loved every hour that I was able to spend on this campus this spring, even when we were sweating. I want to wish everyone a happy graduation day today and a fabulous journey ahead!

Lehigh ’22 Part IV

Un-creative blog post titles aside (sorry!), I’m loving the grad sessions this year. A few years into this and I feel like these flow so well. Yesterday’s solo session was no exception! Plus I have to brag about my client(s) because we really did have to contend with two extra factors: extreme heat and a VERY crowded campus, and they were total troopers. There was a prom, and at least two other events on the grounds that we had to shoot around, but we did it and had fun as always.

Lehigh ’22 Part III

Super glad the weather held out for my second lovely group of grads yesterday, especially because they had already resheduled due to rain! Thankfully it was not an issue and we were able to do all the fun stuff including popping champagne under the classic “Lehigh 2022” as is tradition. Lots of fun, lots of beautiful portraits.

Lehigh ’22 Part II

Graduation season is in full swing now, and yesterday we started with this beautiful group of ladies. The weather was flawless and we hit all the good spots and had fun walking and talking.

“This is the goal”

I may have gotten the actual words wrong, but the quote in my title comes from groom Brian’s welcome speech at Laura and Brian’s gorgeous wedding celebration yesterday. The gist was that when we think about the best memories of our lives, it’s all about who we were with; who shared those moments with us, above anything else. It is so true, how complete we are when we are surrounded by our favorite souls.

Brian and Laura joined their families together at Gather Event Center in Emmaus. It insisted on sprinkling that afternoon, but held off on pouring long enough for the “I do’s” We took some lovely photos in the gardens and walkways before the ceremony, where the couple’s combined 7 children stood up to join their parents together, it was a wonderful moment. Later, cocktails and converstion, followed by the main party, set to the tunes of the very talented 10-piece band!

I’m honored to have been a part of Brian and Laura’s beautiful day, and I wish them so much happiness and continued memories with their favorite people.

Dancing Through Nazareth

Ioana and George met as dancers, and now they are dancing off into the sunset together as a newly married couple! These sweet and photogenic lovebirds contacted me shortly before their nupitals at Narareth’s Borough Council Chambers (such a pretty old building!) and I jumped at the chance to kick-start my wedding season! Ioana and George were both inspired and inspiring, and their love story lit up the town center. We had only a few short minutes with each other but we made them count, and I think the essence of their romance comes through in these photos. Spring is for lovers!

Benjamin & Hilary

A gorgeous old mansion, a black dress, high end spirits, and acrobats!!! At least two of those were firsts for me at this perfect October wedding. I enjoyed every hour of capturing this couple’s stunning and sweet event this Saturday. Love filled the air, I mean you could just breathe it right in. Benjamin and Hilary are head over (sparkling) heels for each other. If you couldn’t see it for yourself, Ben was happy to tell you. As we discussed how everyone should be so lucky to have a love like theirs he became serious, saying: “but they’ll never know… because they can’t have her; she’s mine!” I just about melted on the spot, and that’s BEFORE he saw his bride in her incredible black gown. Tears ensued (mine). Please enjoy these moments at Bethlehem’s inimitable Sayre Mansion, and share their joy!
